Missionaries with Action Intl Since 2024
Bishop Kapito with our newest district, Neno. Here are some of the leaders joining the mission
to bring the gospel to Neno.
My wife, Nancy, and I taught for 17 consecutive days! We traveled each day to our destination, teaching the Word to leaders, evangelizing whenever the opportunity arose, and encouraging all we met.
We provided lunch each day for the 50+ leaders and for over 250 each Sunday. This area is still struggling with food insecurity, and we were thankful for donations from Living Hope Church and donors to our mission organization, Action Int’l.
Thank you also to donors from members at Living Hope Church, Green Mountain Baptist Church, and two anonymous church donors from Texas, totaling almost $5,000.00 and resulting in the distribution of over 400 Bibles. The need for Bibles is great, as small groups (mentor groups) are growing rapidly, and many groups do not have any Bibles!
Our first 8 days were spent in Thyolo District. This country is religious, but many do not know or have a relationship with Christ, and now have found a savior! The gospel is going out! New members quickly understand their mission as the Great Commission. They immediately start sharing their testimony with others, and the multiplication of disciples is truly amazing to witness.
After Thyolo, we visited 5 of our current districts with a one-day marriage seminar. Approximately 50 couples and others attended, with sessions on the foundation of marriage in Genesis and breakout sessions for men and women. We finished the day with God’s call for a Godly marriage that is a testimony to His grace and goodness, and as an example of Christ and the church.
Our last day was simply incredible. We traveled to a new district to teach and meet with a TA (Traditional Authority), the Chief of Neno. He oversees over 200 villages. We asked what his desire was for Neno. His reply: “I want to know and understand the scriptures and teach others about the Bible!” Sounds like II Timothy 2:2! We shared with many pastors present. Also, after Nancy taught on the assurance of salvation, Bishop Kapito led an altar call, with over 40 people giving their lives to Christ.
Action International’s verse is Daniel 11:32b - “...but the people who know their God
shall stand firm and take action.” ESV
They need our help. Our trip was 17 days and could have been many more. We are equipping leadership so they can equip the saints for the work of the ministry. There are mentor groups of up to 100 people without anyone trained in the Word, and many groups lack Bibles.
Join us! Our approach is unique. We gladly accept donations through our website, but our goal is to work with partner churches. These churches are directly involved with the ministry. Lead pastors from the church teach alongside us in one of our districts via Zoom classes throughout the year and during short-term teaching visits to Malawi. Our focus is to give local pastors the resources and teaching they need to disciple others. Also, our heart is to see churches in America get involved and work with us, which grows and encourages their congregation, and makes the pastor the missionary as well.
Many came for our all day marriage seminar.
Many traveled a great distance on foot or on bicycle to be taught and some leaders received Bibles!
